Vivienne Westwood leather “Pirate” boots

From my personal collection, I’ve worn these boots for over 4 years daily, resoled 3 times. I wore these through PFW 2023 and also climbed parts of Scotland in these.

Vivienne Westwood’s eponymous label was born in London in 1971 when Vivienne Westwood and Malcolm McLaren opened their first boutique at 430 Kings Road, Chelsea, becoming the epicenter of the emerging punk movement. From its early Sex and Seditionaries eras through landmark collections like Pirate and Mini‑Crini, the brand fused historical references with deconstructive tailoring and confrontational aesthetics.
